Tracking links that remember where every click came from
A tracking link is the URL you put in your ad. It records the click, keeps the details the ad platform passes along, and sends the visitor on to the offer. The builder asks four things: which offer, which traffic source, which macro syntax and which tokens to append, and shows the finished URL as you go.
Source templates fill in the platform’s own macros for you: Facebook and Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Microsoft Ads, Taboola, Outbrain, push networks and many more, such as Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, Yandex, PropellerAds, ExoClick and Adsterra. Click ID, Source ID and External ID are on by default; add campaign ID, campaign name, country, user agent or payout when you need them. Clicks run on your account’s own tracking domain.
Smartlinks: one link, the best offer per click
Pick two or more offers and the link becomes a smartlink. On every click GoTrack drops the offers whose targeting does not match the visitor (country, device and so on) and sends the visitor to the one that earns most per visit. One offer can be the failover that catches visitors nobody else accepts, and a capped offer can hand its traffic to another offer. Planning a split test instead? Set a fixed weight per offer.
Traffic sources and your own parameters
Every tracking link belongs to a traffic source, and the source decides two things for all its links: the macro syntax of the platform, and where conversions go next. Build one link per offer and source, and comparing a Facebook link with a push link in your reports stays clean.
Your links can also carry 11 passthrough slots. Give a slot a name such as placement or creative and it becomes a column with that name in the Custom Params report.
Conversions from every affiliate network
Add a network from one of the 70+ templates and its postback URL comes ready in that network’s macro format. Up to 26 conversion types (A to Z) keep signups, sales, deposits and refunds apart, and each one can be forwarded to the ad platform the click came from. See postback tracking for the details.
Reports that show what pays
Performance reports pivot around your offers, with the same dates and filters on every tab: Overview, Performance, Clicks, GEO and Devices. You see clicks, conversions, revenue, EPC and conversion rate, and once your ad spend is connected also cost, profit and ROI. Schedule a report and it arrives by e-mail as a CSV, daily, weekly or monthly. ROI tracking shows how the cost side works.
Set it up in five steps
- Add your affiliate network and your offers.
- Add a traffic source for the platform you buy on, with its template.
- Build a tracking link: one offer for a direct link, several for a smartlink.
- Paste the network’s postback URL into its postback setting.
- Use the tracking link as the destination URL of your ad.

Frequently asked questions
What is an affiliate tracker?
Software that sits between your ad and the offer. It records every click with its source, matches the conversions the affiliate network reports back to those clicks, and shows which offers, sources and placements make money.
What is the difference between a direct link and a smartlink?
A direct link sends every click to one offer. A smartlink holds several offers and picks one per click: offers whose targeting does not match are dropped, and the one that earns most per visit wins, unless you set a fixed split.
Can I see which placement a conversion came from?
Yes. Keep the Source ID token on and the ad platform fills in the placement, ad or zone for every click, so you can break conversions and revenue down by placement.
What happens to the clicks when I delete a tracking link?
They stay. Deleting a link removes the link itself, but the clicks already recorded against it remain in your reports.
Can I use my own tracking domain?
Your clicks run on the tracking domain of your account. A domain of your own is possible where your platform offers custom domains; contact us to set it up.
